As a third year student at the University of Maine, I have a strong interest in Economics and many of its concepts. My name is Dylan Bouchard, currently a double major in Mathematics and Economics with a concentration in microeconomic theory. Some areas in economics of particular interest to me include: game theory, consumer theory and utility maximization, non-market decision making strategies, and black markets. Some recommended readings for those interested in similar topics include: Predictably Irrational and Rock, Paper, Scissors: Game Theory in Everyday Life.
I currently work as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for a Principles of Microeconomics class, while also working as a private tutor in economics. My most recent tutoring job was tutoring a student enrolled in the class entitled: Applied Economics for Management, a course at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Explaining the difficult concepts to students for the past few years has served as the primary motivator of my career goal of being an economics professor. I am currently a member of the Omicron Delta Epsilon Economics Honor Society and a Scholar of the George Mitchell Institute. I enjoy skiing in the winter and waterskiing on Moosehead Lake in the summer.
